Vibrational fragrances handmade from flower powder can be used in various market products - perfumes, incense, clothing, gifts, beauty products, candles, food, medicines etc. This makes investment in flower powder vital for generating livelihood across multiple markets and expanding the use of flowers. This also expands the role of women entrepreneurs in various markets through the design of innovative products made from flower powder. Two types of flowers are used for creating flower powder - freshly cultivated flowers and flora waste. Flower powder developed from freshly cultivated flowers is considered culturally appropriate for use in spiritual practices. Therefore, our products like flower powder incense are used for spiritual rituals across various cultures. For example, flower powder incense made from freshly cultivated sandalwood is an ideal for Vedic tradition and Vedic magic rituals. We have created flower powder made from flora waste. Every year tons of flowers are wasted in marriage parties, spiritual destinations, and other locations. Innovative products made from flora waste help preserve environment making New Woman Investment socially and environmentally responsible.

Divya Sama is a business owner. She is a journalist and humanitarian worker turned innovator/entrepreneur.  Prior to starting OM Tarot, she has worked extensively on human rights across conflict and non-conflict settings in over 14 countries. She has lived over decades in war zones. She has over 12 years of experience in humanitarian innovations, gender, and inclusion. OM Tarot is a new way of working towards scaling up livelihoods and reducing barriers to economic inclusion for both men and women.

The business of fragrance came to me when I ran the streets of Melbourne to buy flowers. I realized how women are often excluded from decision making processes and are outsiders due to oppressive patriarchy. Having worked and traveled in over 14 countries, especially war zones, I woke up with this idea that if I develop an innovative product which is made of flower powder - it will cut across many markets - perfumes, incense, clothing, gifts, beauty products, candles, food, medicines etc. It will scale up livelihoods for both women and men, making them work better with each other. Since women are often cultivators of flowers, this market approach will ensure they are not outsiders to economic growth and can have less barriers to establish their own financial goals through New Woman Investment, a start-up. OM Tarot is my spiritual connection with myself.
